My first time here Great small and quick lunch outside. I had a side of kale salad which was on the sweeter side and the sprouted cauliflower which had a nice garlic flavor. Cool mini market vibe/ dessert cafe in there. I also met the woman who was the owner, very sweet and loving women Definitely will come a second time.

Always a great time here at Joan's on Third! I've been coming to this location for about 5 years now and the visits are just as pleasant as before. This is the place that made me fall in love with salads even more as a person who's not very fond of them. I absolutely love their Chinese Chicken Salad. It's a beautiful blend of fried crisps, breaded chicken, romaine lettuce, and a simple sesame dressing. To say it's delicious is an understatement. Sizing is quite large, perfect for sharing. Don't sleep on the Chinese Chicken Salad! Aside from their salad, I love their meatloaf! You can't go wrong with any of their dishes honestly. It's the perfect place to eat for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner. This location offers both indoor and outdoor seating. This is also a great place to shop for unique gifts; When you enter Joan's on Third, they have a fun display of food in their deli showcase, as well as fun knickknacks and gifts in their merchandise area, where they offer both edible and non-edible delights. For parking, however, it's only street parking. Thankfully, Joan's on Third is surrounded by neighborhood, so there is plenty of street parking available if you are willing to walk a few minutes. It's quite a busy street, but it's worth it. The employees are always so nice and take very good care of you. We've seen Joan a few times and she is just so lovely. This location on 3rd St in LA is very special. Their Studio City location is just as nice! Thank god for 2 Joan's on Third locations in LA!

I ordered the Chinese Chicken Salad for lunch and WOW is it a big ass salad It comes with generous portions of crispy chicken, lettuce, wonton strips, crispy vermicelli, picked cucumber, and a light Asian dressing. They especially give you a ton of the wonton strips and crispy vermicelli, but you can adjust the salad to have less, if that's what you prefer. The chicken was slightly tough as well, and I did get a bit bored of it at the end. Overall, it's a really solid salad and I'll have to try it with one of their sandwiches next time!

This place is has nice and simple food when I just want a soup and sandwich. You can order from either side. Pay first, take a number and find yourself a seat. Servers bring the order out to you. It can be hard to track one of them down if you need a box to go, especially if it's busy. The inside seems overwhelming because other than the ordinary menu choices they have other foods and baked goods as well.

Every time I get a chance to come out to LA, this is my place to get some delicious lunch. The ambiance is so welcoming, it's like coming back home feel. The decor is nice and fully stocked and the place is clean and well kept. Today, Johnny, Christian and Mariellie helped me out and they were super nice and friendly, great customer service!! Mariellie rang me up to dine in. Everything came out perfect and tasty!! My favorites are the short-rib sandwich, Chinese chicken salad, potato sticks and Arnold palmer drink. I ate half and packed half to take home. And I got a coconut cupcake since there was no more crown cake slice, I think that was the name. I missed seeing Ms. Joan McNamara today, but I'll be back another day to run into her. Thanks Joan's on Third Team for an amazing service and delicious lunch!! I give 5 stars for ambiance, 5 stars for service and definitely 5 stars for the delicious food!!

BEEN THERE! DONE THAT! NOW THEN! NEXT STEP! WRITE MY REVIEW. Been stopping in at Joan's on Third for years now. Why I never wrote about it is beyond me! Suffice to say each visit was pleasant and delicious but my most recent visit was fulfilling. I had their lox and bagel sandwich. It cost a mere $13 which was IMHO a steal for the amount of food it came with. Two giant slices of lox with their dill dressing, tomato lettuce and onion sitting on their original bagel. I had a croissant to go with a slice of home made meatloaf for my dinner. This is the place if you want/need pastries or prepared meals to go. It's also a people watcher place. Well, it's West LA what do you expect right? Street parking available or bike parking if you want to bike over

Shoutout to one of my favorite brunch places! SO good that even my friends would want to come here every time they visit LA! While a lot of my friends order their beef sandwich, I personally love their Chinese Chicken Salad, and PB&J. While it is agreeable that I am technically paying for overpriced salad and PB&J, theirs are just so worth it! The salad comes in a big metal bowl, and it contains a GENEROUS amount of chicken! Usually this can be shared between 2 people or a few people who are ordering family style who wants to try. And their PB&J is just, well, jam and nut butter but SO GOOD! The restaurant is a very interesting concept. You order the food from the counter, look for a table with the number you get, and they serve the food to you. Servers are very kind and they get you what you need fast. There are also cute shelves with some spreads product, which makes the restaurant look like a mini grocery store. One thing to be concerned with is the parking. They only have street parking and it can be quite challenging since they are located in west LA.

Finally had lunch at Joan's and understand why it's so loved! I tried the fried chicken sandwich and highly recommend, bread is light and airy you won't feel heavy from it. The chai ($6) was not as good and so small, felt less than 6 oz and half is foam. Cafe seems popular and lots of people ordering pre made salads from the counter. Great place to take yourself on a solo lunch date, grab and go or meet a friend.

What a yummy bustling spot. I've visited twice now and there always seems to be a crowd at this place. The staff is quite friendly and helpful in narrowing down the menu because there are a LOT of options (and so many goodies to buy scattered around the tables). There is seating inside and out. People come and go from this joint so it doesn't take too long to find a spot. The fried chicken sandwich is a must. So good. My friend got the Chinese chicken salad which she raved about (I guess Joan's is famous for it?) Definitely give this place a try
